NGC 5248 is a circumnuclear star burst ring galaxy with super star burst clusters.  It is classified as Sm  with a surface brightness of 12.7 magnitude.  NGC 5248 is part of the Virgo cluster and has a red shift distance of 52 Mly.   Sort of a jumbled mass of ice cubes
