NGC 4449 is a dwarf IBm galaxy undergoing intense star burst activity initiated
by interaction and/or merger with other galaxies. Distance to this dwarf
is estimated at 9 Mly making it a
perfect laboratory for the studies of early type starburst galaxies. The
halo for this galaxy is 14 times the optical size.
