NGC 3319 is peculiar barred spiral classified as SBc with a 15.1 mag. surface brightness.  Gas distribution is very asymmetric and extends further to the southeast.  Moore et.al. (1998) suggest a possible interaction with a small system  8 arc minutes to the south.
