NGC 2950 is a type SBO-R with counter
rotating double bars and an active galactic nucleus (AGN). The counter
rotating bars feed a continuous stream of material to the AGN (Merrifield, et.al.
2005).
NGC 2950 is at approximately 50 Mlyr.
