M 90 is classified SBab and has a surface brightness of magnitude 13.1.  M 90 is a fossil galaxy in the last stages of evolution.  Starburst activity is occurring in a nuclear ring fueled by bar induced gas inflow which starburst activity in turn fuels an outflow of gases.

IC 3583 is at center left and is a ram stripped galaxy that may have had some past interaction with M 90.
