This image shows the area to the south of the bright star Zeta Orionis, the eastern most star in the belt of Orion.   Zeta Orionis is just to the right of the image , IC434 is the red emission nebula streaming across the image.     Barnard 33, the famous Horsehead nebula is the dark nebula superimposed on IC434.   Recent polarization studies suggest that Sigma Orionis is the illumination source for IC434.
