NGC 6015 is an isolated and warped type Sc-r galaxy.  Recent studies indicate a discontinuity in the formation of the spiral arms and different rotation rates between the inner and outer arms.  There is no indication of bar formation.  There is a slight tail on the upper right.

Surface brightness is listed as mag. 13.1, red shift distance is 38 Mly.
